A fine French gilt silver Gothic Revival chalice with a reticulated crown of thorns, late 19/early 20th C. H.: 17,9 cm (the chalice) Dim.: 24,6 x 17 x 19,1 cm (the box) Weight: 475 grams (the chalice) The side of the top rim and the foot rim marked with a French Minerva silver guarantee 800/000 mark and an 'HN' maker's mark, possibly for Henri Nocq. The base with a 'DORE' mark and the HN maker's mark. The base inscribed: 'Pere Eternel. Les Epoux EliSTOFFAES et Zelie KIECKEN. Vous offrent avec le sang tres precieux de Jesus-Christ. Les Ames de leurs Enfants et petits Enfants.'
