A blue and white Antwerp maiolica wet drug jar inscribed 'S ACETOSITATIS', 16th C. H.: 23,4 cm The design on this fine example is often referred to as 'alla porcelana', which translates to: 'as found on porcelain'. Ref.: - Wim Tiri, Erfgoed Noorderkempen, for a reference to a shard found in an archaeological context, article in Dutch. - MAS collection, Antwerp, inv. no.
