拍品描述
A rare Chinese blue and white bottle vase with narrative design, Transitional period H.: 39,2 cm The knob on the necks of these bottles makes them easy to grip, even with wet or greasy hands. The shape was developed in the Middle East, where people ate with their hands. The Chinese later made them in porcelain for export to the Middle East and Europe, where they were also used for washing. They are sometimesreffered to as 'gugglets' because of the gurgling sound they make when pouring. 品相: Condition reports and additional high-resolution zoomable images are available on www.rm-auctions.com, or by request via info@rm-auctions.com.
