A Chinese export grisaille and gilt-decorated 'European Subject' teapot and cover, Qianlong L.: 18,8 cm - H.: 14 cm (incl. cover) The decoration on this teapot is copied from a mid-18th-century engraving by Joseph Wagner (German, 1706-1780), after the painting 'Aqua' from the series 'Allegory of the Four Elements' by Jacopo Amigoni (1682-1752).
