The flattened moon-shaped circular body rising from an oblong slightly splayed foot. Finely painted in underglaze blue with a ferocious five-clawed dragon writhing amidst vaporous clouds and above crashing waves, surmounted by a tall neck decorated with a ruyiband, bats and suspending tasselled chimes on each side, and flanked by two dragon-handles. Height 32 cm. Height with accompanying wooden stand 37.8 cm. Loss of glaze by rim.
