PROPERTY FROM A PRIVATE ENGLISH COLLECTION woodblock print, signed Suzuki Harunobu ga (Pictured by Suzuki Harunobu), circa 1768-69; with collector’s seal Berès to verso Vertical chuban: 27.9 x 20.8 cm., 11 by 8⅛ in. The haiku poem inscribed in the cloud cartouche has been translated as: A year of plenty – does snow still linger on you, Mount Fuji in spring?
