Compare a similar example preserved in the Palace Museum, Beijing, illustrated in Wang Yamin and Huang Weiwen, Dehua Wares Collected by the Palace Museum II, Beijing, 2016, cat. no. 250; another from the Koger Collection, now in the The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Florida, in John Ayers in Blanc de Chine, Divine Images in Porcelain, New York, 2002, cat. no. 6, formerly included in Blanc de Chine, Marchant, London, 1985, cat. no. 30, where two further examples from the Edward T. Chow collection and from the collection of E.T. Hall are also illustrated, cat. nos 36 and 95. Three further examples of this graceful design, the first two from the collection of Dr. Carl Kempe, Sweden, were exhibited in Blanc de Chine, Marchant, London, 2014, cat. nos 75-77; another from the collection of Peter Thompson was included in Chinese Ceramics of the Transitional Period (circa 1620-1680 A.D.), University of Hull, Hull, 1985, cat. no. 49; and a further example in Monochrome Ceramics of Ming and Ch’ing Dynasties, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong, 1977, cat. no. 151.
